I think the "magical text message" you allude to, Myles, is emblematic of a lot of the problems I have with the show. It seems to gladly undermine itself by having deus ex machina at the most convenient moments. Charlie's reveal that he got many soldiers hurt or killed because of premature reporting is a minor example

why would you review a serialized tv series as an individual object? the whole point is that they are part of a narrative continuity. watching the newsroom go from "promising but wholly flawed" to "mostly flat out offensive with the tiniest pockets of potential" is an important part of the reviewing process. the fact

i laughed when i heard the voice over the scanner "WE HAVE A POSITIVE ID ON JOHN DOE… STAND BYE FOR POSITIVE ID…. ID INCOMING SOON…. THE BODY HAS BEEN POSITIVELY IDENTIFIED…. LINDEN IS…. NOT THE MOTHER!"

after seeing january jones in a few different things
im pretty sure shes a pretty bad actress, just perfect for the part of betty draper

both ratner and bay have one movie i like so much its hard to say they're bad (rush hour and bad boys 2, respectively)
both are assholes
but the true "hate" i have for ratner is because of his douchebag existence and not really his career
for michael bay its a mix of both

I don't want to make too many assumptions, but I'm guessing the titular Thrones refer to more than the Iron Throne and Khal Drogo. My prediction is that either at the end of this season or at the beginning of the next, the North secedes and becomes it's own Kingdom. It looks like Ned Stark isn't going to last long,

The Killing has failed, for me at least, to create an interesting world. It's not just that Rosie Larson is a black hole: it's that I don't care about anything that happens in this show. No clues they've found so far were relevant at all. If it ends up being the squirelly friend of Stan, I'm gonna be bugged because I

Because the average person finds it easier to associate with the downtrodden than the opressors

I dunno, I really think Daenyrys (I think I spelled that wrong) is an interesting character, and I'm glad they've built her up a bit. Plus you have to start introducing the Targaryens as a threat to the throne.

"A Lannister always pays his debts" is also far more indicative of why he came after Ned, too. You take my brother? I'm coming for you. Plus, it's clear he wants the Starks out of power because of the whole sister fucking thing. If Bran ever gets memory back, it could throw everything to hell.

im a native english speaker and i have no idea what that says.
