I'm starting to want to slap everyone who keeps harping on the fact Don wanted to get slapped. It's nothing new and hardly a novel act in the bedroom. He lives without boundaries and does what he wants, which is why he is so damn appealing to many of us.

I think we're seeing the end of Don being in an emotionally and mentally stressful place since last year. Starting a new business, I can't imagine anyone making lots of time to seek out a relationship. They say that men tend to define themselves by their careers and women by their relationships - which was more true

Like many others here, I remember life and music before these very diverse bands from Washington became known world-wide. I devoured all I could read and watch about them (and other bands, yes) in my teenaged time to spare. I don't recall any of the primary players accepting the word "grunge" as part of their sound

I wondered if Psychiatry came to Joan's mind because her husband needs to see one.

When Things Were Rotten
I can't believe no one has mentioned this yet! Mel Brooks did a Robin Hood tv show - briefly - in 1975 called When Things Were Rotten.

Agreed. And an opportunity to see Joan looking sexy in bed, of course.

I found the tarot cards to be showing how "California" she was. No one in Don's east coast circle would pull a move like that.
