That's my theory. Like the Doctor and Jack.

What I've mostly seen is people who didn't LOVE LOVE OMG GAIMAN it being interpreted as actively disliking. If you only liked it the normal amount, you were a freak. I was one of those people, actually, though on rewatch I like it much better.

I thought you meant cheat as in have the Doctor and Clara go back in time, which he's made it Very Clear he absolutely Cannot Do. I think bumping into them in the present day (that is, between 2010 and 2021ish) would be interesting.

But this episode actually set up the idea that memories/feelings could do something. From the very beginning, we learn that sentimental value is currency. It's not like random out of the blue "Everyone saying Doctor will make the Doctor not be Benjamin Button anymore!"

Whereas Ten's monologues never distracted me from how weirdly wide his mouth got.

That was amazing.

@avclub-b9a25e422ba96f7572089a00b838c3f8:disqus , we certainly saw evidence of that in The Bells of Saint John. I really, really, really hope that "Amelia Williams" wasn't just a wink to fans.

"Let me throw this question out to you — what is the most powerful god-like being the Doctor has ever faced?"

Will Rose die? Do we know that? What if the TARDIS made her immortal? Maybe Ten 2 will die and Rose will live forever.

"(I also now wish Jenna Louise-Coleman was playing the Doctor)"

I've rewatched Asylum, but none of the others. Angels was good, but emotionally I don't think I can take a rewatch…whatever her faults, Amy was the reason I started watching this show, and it killed me when she left. But I find Asylum quite rewatchable, actually.

It reminded me of his one in The Pandorica Opens.* The whole talking into outer space thing, but also this sense of "I am bullshitting-and-yet-serious please don't kill me yet" he had. The tear was amazing.

Maybe he just expected that he could. It was that sort of day.

It would be interesting to have a different-but-the-same companion every episode, finding Clara/Oswin Oswald each time, but the constant explaining would get old.

God, don't we all want to skip 16?
