Byrne's FF was great. At the time I didn't care much for Alpha Flight, but upon rereading it, It stands up great. Very original work.
As I've said elsewhere, Shooter is the second greatest fanboy writer, and there's not a damn thing wrong with that. His LSH stories, the Korvac Saga, the few issues later with Hank Pym…
And I disagree with the slam on continuity. Good writers make continuity sit up and beg for them. Those that thumb their noses at it put out shit like Doom Patrol reboots that give no explanation as to how they came back.
I'm sure Alan Moore already thinks he has superpowers.
It's awesome that a fanboy universe's flagship title would be written by the second-greatest fanboy writer ever. Geoff Johns being the greatest.
"Or is it"
Heh. Egon's deadpan response is a top five quote for me.
Yet the funniest line is (IMO) "It's the Stay-Puff Marshmellow Man"
If the story about sneaking up on strangers, putting his hands over their eyes and saying "No one will ever believe you" is true…then he's still in there somewhere.
I'd go with Geena Davis myself. But yeah, Andie was awesome too. (Sigh) Four Weddings and a Funeral.
Quick Change is after Scrooged…but GD I love that movie. His chemistry with Geena Davis is awesome.
Ditto. I'm pretty much the only guy who liked "Always".
I loved Razor's Edge!! I have no regretsssss…..
1. I had no problem with Harry Connick Jr. being on the show, I enjoyed seeing him.
2. Not enough credit is given to Karen's character. "Wait, a self-professed drug/alcohol addict who DOESN'T learn any lessons and seems to be functional when she wants to"??
Trivia: Jennifer (Kes from Star Trek: Voyager) appears on Sandler's album.
I have this theory, that there are in fact two Baldwins who went by the name 'Alec'. That guy above? The one who was also in 'Working Girl' and 'She's Having a Baby'? That guy looks NOTHING like the Alec Baldwin we know today. I know people change as they get older, but CMON!
But the guy in 'Beetlejuice'? He looks like…
Rule of thumb: Less Ah-nold talk…better movie. The first Conan, Predator…great movies.
I agree, I'm also a little scared about where this is going…and Death's statement to Destiny about how "When one of us…" as if it's no big deal.
I'm not criticizing Gaiman, just the idea that a writer is a misogynist because his characters are.
And Captain Boomerang gets his too…but suddenly it's the writer who's the misogynist in that case. "Gaiman gets a pass because Morpheus dies" doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Lot's of characters who put women in fridges get their just rewards.
