Not commenting on whether Warning was good or bad. Just saying the guitar sound he's using on Uno is similar.

Listening to the samples of this, it's hard for me to understand the choice in guitar sound. It's similar to Warning. Their songwriting and power chords works so much better with the distortion crunch from Dookie and Insomniac. Here it sounds so hollow and cheap.

It's actually coming to Netflix very soon. Amazon got it as an exclusive deal for their instant video for a few months, and when that expires, it'll be on Netflix.

And coming to Netflix Instant within a few weeks.

I knew this shit was coming. The quintessential band that people claim they like, but not because they actually enjoy it, but rather they like the idea of liking it. Sure, claiming you enjoy Swans makes you seem more interesting. Fill that hole.

That's right, everyone! HE SAID IT.

That's fine, because it's $8 a month and I can watch it without having cable, unlike HBO.
Jay (the southern model with the high pitched voice) said he did missionary work in his pre-show videos. But it looks like we'll catch a break, because he seemed pretty cold-blooded in the premiere.
I like you for this.
DVDs are manufactured to make money, and that didn't stop the obscure stuff from being produced. I don't see how it's a certainty that those same films won't eventually be available to stream. In fact, wouldn't streaming have a lower entry gate to availability for streaming, in terms of production cost, than DVD?
I see what you're saying, but in that example…you just really wanted to watch Transformers 3. It isn't a zero sum game. Hotel Rwanda didn't lose a contest, and you're not hurting its feelings by choosing not to watch it. If you really wanted to watch it, you would. With the DVD queue, that was just a mind trick…
But, Rubuttnik, you and Adams are creating a false problem. There is no choice war. Let's say all current DVDs that Netflix has are eventually added to streaming. You can go and filter out the art house stuff by category, or director, or writers, etc. There are ALREADY infinite choices with film and music.
