Yes - that was the joke. No - I didn't interpret the crowd's reaction that way. I interpreted it as, "WOOOO, Gaga's singing her song!" It was applause, not really laughter.

I actually feel the opposite.
She said she got her heartbroken by a girl(friend?) who later revealed she had a boyfriend.
What?
Huh? To me, this was easily the best of the season so far. Those moments between the Governor and Megan, contrived and sappy as they were, were excellent.
I feel like the audience didn't "get" a lot of the specific Lady Gaga jokes. The reaction to Gaga performing "Born this Way" as a "cover" of "Express Yourself" was more one of applause for her singing than laughter at Gaga winking to the similarity between the two songs. Even Taran Killam's explanation of the joke…
Haha! I've been trying to work out a clever pun involving Drunk Mary. Long may her liquor RAIN or something like that. Haven't gotten it right yet.
Was that a French accent? It sounded all over the place - almost Irish at times.
"You are acting like there is something wrong with doing tv?"
And I was very specifically agreeing with you..
I got such a kick out of Mary's dialogue this week. "I pressed him mercilessly!" (as in, I asked him very passively and politely). "That's a horrible way to live!" "I'm sorry I didn't eat more, and drink less!"
The shot of Rowan's ID badge says he's going by "Rowan Pope."
The latest they could claim is May (it's weird, they had prom, which is usually in late May at least where I'm from, but then they said they're six weeks away from graduation in last week's episode). So, yeah, no Applause, Roar, Wrecking Ball or Orange is the New Black.
Lea Michele WAS actually on Broadway and decided that being on a major TV series (and, as a result, getting to flirt with a transition into movies) was a far better way to show off her talent…
There is no way for this not to come across as pervy, but my feeling is that if you're going to pay homage to the Wrecking Ball video, you actually have to mirror the video. Melissa Benoist is gorgeous, looked great in that scene and absolutely doesn't need to take her clothes off (again…Homeland's enough), but it…
This looks like it's just the extremes, so it's safe to assume the median income is between 60K & 70K.
No…
It's a tiebreaker kind of thing. Rich viewers can't save a show if absolutely no one in the 18-49 demo is watching (I believe Harry's Law fits here…I never saw any report on the median income of its viewers, but I know David Kelley's other shows have skewed wealthy) and a surplus of poor viewers won't kill a show…
In looking at the cast list for The Unit (I didn't watch it and don't know who goes by Red Tail), I don't see any white female that would be less of a random than Erin Heatherton, who is one of the most recognizable/popular Victoria's Secret models…
Former Academy Award nominee Kate Hudson (for a role that actually received far more acclaim/awards recognition than Bassett's key role) worked a season-long stint on Glee that had absolutely no bite to it.
