The jacket thing was a terrible idea, but I took it as a way for the show to hint that Schu was the one who stole it.  I knew, for sure, that it was him at that moment.

Huh?  I'm not in the school of thought that Cory's cause of death should affect how we memorialize him, but clearly there are some who do feel that the self-inflicted, drug nature of his death makes it less of a tragic loss.

Correct.  They actually made a point to have Kurt say something to the effect of, "A lot of people are asking how he died, but the truth is, it doesn't matter."

That's an interesting glass half-full approach.

I don't know how anyone wouldn't agree with her.

There is obviously some sort of heat between Dianna Agron and Ryan Murphy/Glee dating back to last year.  Despite being far from the least integral character, she had the least significant role of any of the original regulars last season.

"I like how Olivia’s dad doesn’t even blink when she mentions B6:13 for
the first time, which he writes off as Huck being mentally ill."

Anyone catch "Filthy Sexy Teens," the Pretty Little Liars/Gossip Girl parody from the NTSF people?

I disagree.  Whenever there's been an opportunity to show she's good-hearted and caring, Glee has taken it (falling on the sword for Becky, buying Marley's family Christmas presents, defending Kurt against bullies).  If there's a side of Sue one cannot buy, it's the evil one (which is why they've had to acknowledge

If it were under any other circumstance, the Finn-Santana thing would be a bit controversial.  Many despise the way that relationship was written because even though Finn forcibly outed her, it was her who ended up apologizing.

Agree with Todd on the way they addressed Finn's death.  By saying "how he died doesn't matter," it implies the show DOES have something to hide, and thus invites judgment about the circumstances.

The Dennis, Frank and Charlie montages were all great.

Don't you mean Jackie Denardo (Jessica Collins)?

I was in the camp that much preferred season two to season one, and I was definitely not a Violet fan, but I have to admit that Taissa Farmiga seemed to add a lot here.

Maybe I'm listening to the wrong Lana Del Rey songs, but I don't think the similarities are nearly as striking as some are saying.  I don't recall any LDR song (Summertime Sadness included) with hooks like those on Royals, Team, Tennis Court, etc.

My point was that I didn't think she added that new and unique specificity to "Glory & Gore" the way she did the old concepts on Royals, The World Alone, etc.

(Why didn't this review go up last week? It was a much more significant release than HAIM's album…)

I can't believe I know this, but her song didn't actually piss off Miley Cyrus.

Royals is great, but it's not a ballad.

There are lots of ways to rationalize this (I believe you're most notably referring to the comment in season 2's Lucky Penny).
