As others have said, filibustering has been repeatedly-lampooned aspect of our legislative system for decades.  It was not a new thing that started in 2013.

On point one:  Yes, I would argue that after the stories of priest sexual molestation broke, a principal at a nearby elementary school would be wrong for telling one of the teachers that her cross is a "slap in the face to the victims."

Whether it is working or not is a different question, but I think the natural, friendly dynamic between Stuart and Jessica is supposed to reveal that they, at their core, are right for each other.  Not the Jessica who belittles Stuart (and though I agree Jessica comes off way better, I think it's wrong to act like

I think it was a mixture of both.  On the one hand, you had the vapid girls who thought "10 Things I Hate About You" was a classic and wanted to spend the night dancing rather than embracing movies and music with no vocals.

Wearing garb associated with Islam is only a "slap in the face" to the people who died if Islam, itself, were responsible for the attacks.

I agree that it doesn't make for the most relatable show, but LA absolutely fits this story.

The limo thing fits pretty nicely into my point from last week about how Stuart, like many single guys, wants to break everything down into singular attributes.

I actually thought it was foreshadowing that Dana would have sex in this episode…

The deal with Saul going all intolerant was pretty transparent, and I think you hit on half of it.  From the past two seasons, we know he's the LAST person to sincerely feel that way, so this was definitely an opportunity to show that the stress is actually driving him into a dark place.

"If we do this, it's gonna take a ton of Blood, Sugar, Sex [and] Magik."

The lyrics were adapted to the shutdown as well.  And there were some cute image changes - the cut-up fingers switching to an elephant, etc.

That video has been watched like 200 million times.  It was all over every conceivable media outlet that covered every conceivable entertainment niche.

He was very good.  Except it was annoying that they played into the short-lived myth about the Smith family reacting to Cyrus' performance.  It was confirmed they were freaking out over Lady Gaga's.

I'm going to guess you're unaware that the girl hosting was, in fact, Miley Cyrus.

So weird to address the 50 Shades of Grey thing but not talk about Kate McKinnon's dead-on Jane Lynch.  And though I didn't think Noel Wells was good as Emma Stone, the audience was totally eating it up - and that's really the goal, isn't it?

@avclub-e745a6bad4ffe5a1b35aac134ea148c7:disqus Her specialty is that she can crack locks and safes.  But you'd think Huck would also have that skillset, so yeah, not sure what she's bringing to the table.

The OC got really good in its last season though….(after the initial emo period with Ryan)

So Santana broke up with Brittany because SHE was concerned about long distance after having a fleeting moment with a girl in the library, but now it's because she couldn't trust Brittany to avoid the D?  The crazy Brittana shippers might be taking their anger too far, but I don't think they're wrong for calling

Yeah, I knew she was hot, but I had no idea Aselton was AS hot as she looked this week and in that bikini a few weeks back.

It's a good article, but I'm a bit rattled I didn't get a shot-out…
