Disappointment, considering he was for a good period on pace for 600 HRs.
@mratfink: The Nats will do it more.
GO NATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Words cannot describe my disappointment that work is holding me from going to Opening Day.
As much as I'm fine with Andrea being gone, she was actually awesome in the comics! This episode just felt kinda meh, especially with that bizzaro "massacre".
-Good Wife-baseball!
@Rageaholic: They may be baiting because of their desire for page views (perfectly understandable), but they're actual assholes too.
Nats (baseball) / SDSU Aztecs (college basketball) / Leicester City (soccer) / Ducks (hockey)
The Neighbors is actually decent now.
@roare: The problem is that TV is a business. The opportunity cost of letting a niche show keep going is that a hit pilot will be great. Obviously, there's a flip side to that, but TV is all about money and you chase the next hit.
Saying TVBTN is the "sabermetrics" of TV is an insult to stats everywhere.
You on FB?
And worse, they're trying to get people to call it How to Live. That show's DOA, just bested by The Goodwin Games.
They get it straight from Nielsen's press wire.
@Jay S.: I mean, let's not kid ourselves though. Those petitions usually don't matter. Shows like Chuck and Fringe were saved because of ancillary benefits to keeping those shows on (Subway getting massive positive PR from their sponsorship of the show, and Reilly wanting to keep FOX's best drama on air), and not…
I was intrigued by the end of the second episode. Derrick coming back — a throwaway, or an actual plot point?
Got preempted here for a Washington Nationals TV special (which I dutifully DVR'd — go Nats!) Had to bust out the Slingbox from the west coast feed, or wait until Sunday at 3pm.
TCA is usually a good gauge for that. But then again, there are critics that like TBBT as TV's best show, and shows like House of Lies, Californication, and Modern Family are great.
They have a good track record only due to the fact that it's fairly obvious what's going to happen giving a particular rating (and that shows are judged relatively).
UGH — I just found out my DC affiliate is pushing Happy Endings to Sunday afternoon at 3pm in favour of a special on the upcoming Nationals season.
