Although Bledel wasn't the greatest actor (struggling with the pace and deep emotional beats), the cast around her was so great and ASP did a great job setting up the world. And in doing so, it really highlighted this sweet, innocuous nature of Rory, which Bledel represented so well early on.

Max always felt like the Sarah Braverman's Mark. As in, Lorelai treated Max like crap just like Sarah did Mark, although both in unintentionally hurtful (as in, not mean-spirited) ways.

I picked it up around Season 4 (when I was old enough to actually watch primetime TV shows and understand it critically), and quickly caught up. Same story: watching GG encouraged me to try shows like Veronica Mars, and now I'm a marshmallow excited for the movie!

Working is in his DNA. Later on, he tried to retire but couldn't.

Yeah, Jill Werner made Vegman's character on CT kinda a drag, when they were going much more for Bobby's version of MPDG.

100 is preferred, 88 is the baseline minimum (for strip syndication), some shows get away with 80-88.

New Girl's Ford product placement was alright. Community and Chuck did fine with Subway product placements, in context.

As annoying as it was, the Target promo really wasn't that bad. If they're supporting the show, I can live with it.

And wrote a blog post about how strange Natalie Portman really is.

I can see it now: "This season on Bunheads, the girls get warped into an alternate universe. Ginny is the first to meet her doppelganger, Faux-Ginny (guest star Megan Hilty), and her reaction is unexpected. Michelle travels to the alternate universe and meets Hubbellnate."

You forgot Parenthood too… But your point still clearly rings true, sigh…

Definitely a twist, to say the least.

I'd also say Rules of Engagement is acceptable (I'd watch it over HIMYM; but even with that show, it's the same spiel every week. Russell is a douchebag, Hudson's character is an idiot; and Warburton's character Jeff is a physical manifestation of Joe Swason — which of course is the only redeeming part of the show —,

For the summer premiere, sure? What painting could be named apropos for the follow up?

It's a sad day that we may never have #bundaymondays again.

Luckily I enjoy Switched at Birth (and Dallas, I guess), because Mondays otherwise are beyond dire. Bones is just so bad now…

Just far too many curveballs in one show. The writers ought to introduce stories more organically, even in the weird world of American Shameless.
