So much stuff in this episode, yet it still all didn't seem rushed and it worked. Outside of the Jimmy stuff, it was all great.

#fail

To be fair, it's still double to triple the viewership of Enlightened. Girls has lost some steam this season though.

With HBO, HBO Go viewership means something too.

I have that feeling that viewership is way too low for HBO to keep it going though. It's really really low.

Because it has good ratings…?

That was me who brought up the point, and my point with that comment was that the father-daughter relationship — while not as deep and genuine as Lorelai/Rory, for example — was important and a tent-pole of the show.

That's the problem with temporal core concepts like Suburgatory's. It's due to have an end date, and that end date happened to be the premiere of Season 2 when Tessa was excited to come back to Chatswin.

Can't operate with the presumption that future syndication and streaming value will drive profitability. So not really, I don't think.

Sweeps ended yesterday, so networks don't care until May sweeps.

@Bitenuker: Buntain, meanwhile, is Hilty 2.0.

Southland? The Middle? Suburgatory? Nashville?

You know a show's brilliant when it's able to covertly make a low-key character like Shivrang a bigger douchebag than Schmitty.

If it's about ratings, Bunheads probably won't be renewed. Got back above 1MM viewers, but still held at a 0.4 18-49 demo. Don't know the W 18-34.

The emotion is back! (Now will the commenters come back?)

Back half of Season 1, starting with "Jess and Julia".

@Byron: You could say that Ginny was in control of what happened, but the character is 16. The dalliance happened off-screen. We don't know what happened, so who's to say who understood what truly happened?

Why in the world is the In Case you Missed it not Bunheads?

FUCK YEAH FUCKING NEW GIRL *high five*

Even so much beyond next week being the all-ASL episode, I'm curious to see how much the events surrounding Carlton are inspired by the two major protests that occurred at Galladuet University (Deaf President Now, and the more recent one), how well they capture that.
