Although The Voice lead-in definitely contributed to Go On's inflated ratings and early success, I actually attribute NBC's piss-poor scheduling of the show for its demise over the loss of the lead-in. If you air consecutive episodes months apart multiple times, of course the show will lose steam.

Seriously though, TBBT's running time is usually 19-20 minutes when a normal sitcom runs 22 minutes.

New Girl's had a revival ratings-wise over the past few weeks. It's awesome.

NBC is just cursed. Probably Jack Donaghy's fault, a curse or something.

- Smash

- Adult Glee

Ratings-wise, Parenthood should be considered an absolute success (rather than relatively successful). Its audience is modest (~4M), but 50% of that is 18-49. And it wins its time-slot consistently.

The comeback was completely driven by SNF and The Voice, so it never really counted. It was just a matter of NBC finding it's Idol, which CBS doesn't need and ABC doesn't have.

Enter Community, and it's an even better world to that good world that you note.

It's so bad, ABC might catch up.

I'm glad Smash wasn't the "In cased you missed it", because apparently, everyone minus a million or so people (that "matter") missed it.

SMASH and burn… A 1.1 demo?

Like a mix of Mary Louise Parker, Sutton Foster (go Bunheads!), and Alexandra Chando.

JJ Abrams produced magic on FOX, and ratings suck. Abrams produces a great show on CBS, and go figure, it's successful.

Totally jealous of Sasha's apartment.

A great gambit of physical comedy. So great.

Merriweather has stated that Cheers is one of the seminal shows that inspires New Girl, so great and appropriate call-out there.

SMAAAASH! But I'm also bitter because it kicked out Parenthood. So smaaashh…!

ABC Family Mondays are great. ABC Family Tuesdays are bad.

Except that The Newsroom is consistently terrible.
