That's so weird, I was just the other day wondering what happened to Yahoo Serious.

Word, I haven't even watched it yet but I know that will be my reaction.  Ted yearning after Robin, Robin kinda sorta thinking about reciprocating, blech.  Move on already.

Didn't the HIMYM powers that be basically say they were at least going to show the mother at the end of this season?  And it's already been spelled out she plays in the wedding band, he watches her with interest from across the dance floor, bla, bla.  If they seriously take a whole season to spin that whole thing out

Is "moat" a typo?  I'm not even going to try to parse the whole thing, but "moat" struck me as particularly odd (I guess there's kind of a phallic thing with the castle sticking up in the middle?)

I was going to say the same thing!  Glad to see many agree.

Nathan Rabin, this is for you:

I hope he is taking more notes from David Chase and will also tell us to stop being such rabid fans of his goddamn show already and just back off.  Because that is so charming when creators of dramatically complex, well-loved shows say that.  (Confidential to Vince Gilligan: I love you!)

I was a huge 30 Rock fan and I found the final episode surprisingly moving.  It really had heart and somehow it felt right to go to credits over Jenna singing her "Rural Juror" song.

I heart Michael Keaton so much but this movie sounds probably not good.

I hope you're right.

Jeez Louise this one brought out the misogynists.

You know what he is/was?  The opposite of Lance Armstrong.  Ebert was someone who really did "livestrong," not by pumping himself full of steroids but by openly living with cancer in a hearty, life-affirming way.  He set such a wonderful example.

Also, hadn't he figured out at that point that the anonymous phone call to Hank came from Gus?

It's because he's awesome.

You have to wonder what the inspiration was for this.  Was it that he still had the ears from playing Spock and he thought they'd work for a hobbit-themed music video?  Very odd, and I say this as one who lusts for Leonard Nimoy.

The Chicago Sun Times obituary is really nice and heartfelt, better than the one in the Times, which didn't mention his step-family, as if they weren't important to him.  Will miss this man.

And the light at the end of that tunnel: Lynda Carter.  Seriously.  Just watch Wonder Woman for her and her clothes.  The show is terrible.

Bags of rats.

Dittoes, this show is so good and I'm sitting on my hand to avoid sites/news items (no IMDB on all these great actors) with any potential spoilers.

I'm pretty sure there are a lot of jobs that fall into that category, e.g. tightrope walker, a brain surgeon (or any other kind of surgeon), a baby nurse, etc.
