Stagefright usually gets lumped in as a slasher with giallo elements or the other way around, essentially a tweener. Agreed that it's unfairly neglected.

Was thinking of the blood spray in Tenebre

Your bloody body is my canvas

Glad I stuck it out for the batty third act though(Blade).

Blade in the Dark was made for tv, correct? It's a good thing I watched it with friends or else the pace and poor visual quality wouldn't have held my attention. Same issue with House of the Laughing Windows.

Same, it's a top five giallo for me. I'd rate it alongside Deep Red, Bird, and Duckling

Your family sounds awful

Talking shit on Little Giants? That's enough avclub for today.

Where was this policy when they had quality shows to renew?

Is Nucky still the gangster with the heart of gold? His character was what turned me off when I gave the first season a go.

I don't really have an issue with Boardwalk Empire getting a third season and maybe it helps the new Milch show stay afloat but is it ever meh compared to Carnivale.

Yeah, I think it's reductive in most instances but the thing is, it kind of works perfectly to describe her character in Elizabethtown.

Wrong movie, he's in the one previewed on the first page of this article

That's a bit generous, better than 40% seems like a safer bet.

Can we use this thread to list best at bat music?

Green Onions baby

Did anyone else think Thomas Haden Church was gonna be hit by a bus when he was standing in the middle of the street? Movies have conditioned me.

This is why I gave up on the show after season 3. It tries so hard to make you believe that the sons are the good guys despite the horrible shit they do and the people they're affiliated with. It doesn't give me the objective portrayals that Breaking Bad, The Sopranos and The Wire gave me.

People who believe this base their opinion of American television off of network programming.

But seriously, The Mentalist is better than Castle, unfortunately it doesn't have a direct attachment to Firefly that would get it regular AV Club coverage.
