Controversial opinion: Even as an avid reader of the Reacher novels, I am excited for this movie. I think there is a good (maybe even great) movie in here, especially with Herzog as the bad guy. Count me in.

Enjoy Victoria! I moved there a couple of years ago and really love the city. Coming from NYC you'll probably be unimpressed by the size, but I think it's perfect. I'd recommend Darcy's (for the food) or Local Kitchen (for the waitresses)

Geez how expensive is HBO in the US? I pay something like $14 / month in Canada, and that includes HBO plus a bunch of movie channels. I'm also technology-illiterate so I wouldn't have the first clue how to dowload something even if I wanted to, if it's not on Napster. Napster's still a thing, right?

I agree about Auckerman but if you listen with the mindset that he's not a comedian and more of a cool guy to hang out with it makes it a lot better. And Paul F. Tompkins doing Werner Herzog kills me every time. Nature is out to destroy us!
