Passable
Funny, it feels like I've seen the "long-standing friends finally sleep together, only to realise they're not really into each other" story a bunch of times before, but I can't think of any other examples right now.

"On one level I'm sure that's part of a strategy to implicate us as viewers and make us recognize that we're complicit in the culture that makes the Dollhouse … possible? plausible? … I'll go with "relevant". But it seems hard to deny that it also simply IS exploitation."

Smilner - I wasn't deriding the philosophical implications/intentions/content. I was being tongue-in-cheek by writing "pondering". I like that this show is trying to be thought-provoking and taking some risks.

Terrorists
I'm surprised this episode got an A- rating. An undercover operation against a dirty-bomb supplier is joined in progress, resolved in 40 minutes, with very little detail of how this plan is actually supposed to work. C'mon. There were some good moments in this episode but this show is always doing crap like

When my TV stops working I just give it a smack and hey presto! Picture perfect. My TV isn't a billion dollar mind-wipe doll that looks like Eliza Duzhku.
