I wonder if the pair of sock comment Tony makes to Dr Melfi is a call back to Carmela asking him if he needs socks earlier in the season. IIRC, that was the last thing she said to him before he was shot at the end of "Members Only" I might not be remembering that correctly though. It seemed like such a mundane bit of

I was looking for a "Die in a fire" comment, but this will do.

There's always someone who decides they'll take some sort of ridiculous shortcut becuase they know they can't hack it once the orders start coming in. And then they're surprised when a guy who's been a professional chef all his life spots what they're doing a mile away. I love me some schaudenfruede.

Yeah, as obviously formulaic as this show is, I still get a kick out of watching it. I hope the AV club's going to go ahead and review this going forward; it's as enjoyable as about anything else that's on during the summer IMO.

There's always 2 or 3 contestants who seem to have some level of skill. Obviously they're not going to really be the executive chef at one of Ramsay's restaurants, but they should be able to hold their own on the line there.

If memory serves, he's said that about every one this season. Maybe he's cutting and pasting, or maybe it's an in joke that you didn't get (admittedly a fairly lame in joke).

A shiny new donkey to the man who either brings me the head of colonel Montoya or can point out an episode of the Simpsons with more awesome quotes, pop culture references, and random hilarity than Deep Space Homer.

One day, if I play the game right, I'll get to write a random "FUCK THIS GUY" to some girl with whom I haven't interacted with before and all of you will like the shit out of it.

IIRC Christopher and Little Carmine don't always call him "Sir", and at one point, after Kingsley has gotten tired of being polite to him, he corrects one of them on it.

Sure, it makes a good point, and it makes that point in pretty funny manner, IMO. but it's a point that's been made before. Even Tony, who gets what he wants about 99% of the time and commands fear and respect within the mafia, gets treated like the object of others' amusement when he goes golfing with Dr Cusamano's
