I agree with the guy who said he was expecting more, plot-wise… it was a really nice episode, but regarding those who are saying they were shocked emotionally, I'm not sure exactly what they were surprised by..? I mean, we already learned that Ice King went nuts trying to protect Marcy, and things unfolded along that

I don't actually have a preference for mythology..? That's not why I'm fairly cool about this season so far. I like Adventure Time for its weird and creative stories, for the awesome characters, and for its special sense of humour.

That was kind of the whole point though… that it wasn't really an incident. It was probably an accident; they just put it in because they like to fuck with us when it comes to Peebles.

Yeah, I agree… plus it just wasn't very funny, that's what usually makes or breaks an episode for me. The humour tried to use weirdness as a crutch (the song, feeding the birds, etcetera), and it just came across as patronisingly lazy. I don't understand the hate for the original Xergiok episode, though. The

Really didn't enjoy this… not sure why Oliver gave it higher than a C. I only laughed once, at the Braille line, and the gratuitous randomness felt like an attempt to compensate. Pretty much the opposite of what makes Adventure Time great.

Weird, I thought this episode kinda continued the averageness. Actually, looking back I'd say "All The Little People" and "All Your Fault" are the only episodes this season which compare to the classic episodes of previous seasons. By way of comparison, pretty much half of the episodes at the start of last season were

Pretty cool episode… gets a B from me. Not funny enough to get an A… Jake parking his buns on the warm foil was amazing, though.

It annoys me that you think your argument is logical.

"It makes me kinda sad that giddy teen girl stuff has become shorthand for awful."

I never complained about my life, I just complained about the episode. Projecting much? Also, I said I liked the first one. Clearly you're a bit defensive about this topic.

Yeah, was kinda conspicuous.

This isn't the first time I've seen somebody talk about '7ths' and then erroneously refer to them as 'chord progressions'. What gives?

…maybe because it's a work of fiction and thus open to multiple readings?

I know BMO's genderless, that's why it was funny he/she was unchanged by gender swapping.

By the way, when do we get a "Slime Princess telling you what a great guy you are for three hours" show?

Except for Ice King doing his funny biz, this episode felt entirely like fanservice for giddy girls. No real funnies or story or adventure… just a bunch of clichés and "romantic drama".

Sure, I just meant the whole Freudian thing was getting a bit stale.

Yes, you missed the first minute.

Haha, the way the food looked exactly the same but smelled like poop was brilliantly weird.

There were some funny moments, and the morbid parting shot is up there with "finally we can die!" and "let's go eat Cinnamon Bun". But overall I didn't think much to the story or the dialogue. We've literally had 'mummy problems' jokes three episodes in a row now… I thought it was kinda gratuitous and unfunny this
