What was the original ending? It could not have been worse than "let's kill the most interesting character and do a voiceover that reassures everyone that there are more robots to fight in the sequel".

Also the execution scene was less HILARIOUS then Ernest goes to Jail.

Compared to other Summer movies
Terminator 4 was more enjoyable (and less angrifying) than Indy 4. Terminator's robot action was more enjoyable (and less incomprehensible) than Transformer's robot action.
