I haven't seen any of Chow's films beyond Soccer/Kung Fu Hustle (which was undoubtably one of my favorite movies of all time) but I've been afraid to revisit them for fear they won't hold up. Maybe that's what I'll do tonight until this one comes to a theater near me…

Word on the street is that it wasn't Willimon's choice to leave. Looks like Netflix is sad they lost Dexter and are trying to bring it back

Hotline Miami is Drive

In all seriousness, half of me likes this book a lot and the other half was mad when I realized it was only Part 1 of the story. Not a lot really happens in this book, and I don't understand how they'll make a complete story out of the movie.

Strongly disagreed about the praise Until Dawn has received. Yes, your choices can determine how many of the character survive to the end, but there really aren't many "different combinations" considering most of the characters can only die in very specific moments (except for Emily, who the game hates and constantly

This series reminds me of Samurai Jack. With the reboot coming to Adult Swim, maybe we can see a Head Lopper x Samurai Jack cross over

I was lucky enough to see an early screening of this months ago, and its been smoldering in my brain ever since. I think Ignatiy is right that the movie is terribly mixed, but I would have given it a B for its ability to challenge our sensibilities.

I can't say too much about it, but I saw the film at an early screening in a major US city. I won't go into plot details, but the reaction definitely was polarizing. But I loved the movie because it takes a deadly serious topic, uses satire to break it open into big/bold (and not necessarily subtle) pieces, without

I just finished Analyze Phish as well, but that last episode was brutal. So many jokes about Harris dying and talk about how his career has only just started.

Do you mind explaining how that second combo works?

He's crushed by Matt Damon's spaceship

I hate to break it to you, but this already happened last month at SF Sketchfest. I don't remember all the patients, but it sold out very quickly so I didn't even have a chance to consider it (not that I could afford to go to any more shows).

Wow, I thought I would never see that SF Sketchfest episode of StarTalk. I wish Neil was there, but it was a great show nonetheless.

I know that Hot Topic sucks but as a teen I got my first two vinyls from there: Paul's Boutique and In Rainbows, so it's not all bad.

I thought it was the opposite: the fact that Chevy Chase had no contract when season 5 started. The only way to legally allow him back on set would be to open a new contract for him, and that wouldn't be easy (or worth it for such a small scene) so they shot it off set instead.

What makes a good choice of toppings? I ask because I've never been to El Farolito and was planning on checking it out thanks to this list.
