Somewhere along the way, I read or heard something that claimed the Monk was an earlier incarnation of the Master.  Where did I read this?  Anybody know?  Personally, I like the idea of them being separate characters, even though for a race of supposedly xenophobic isolationists there sure are a lot of them traipsing…
