True - but it's pretty well established that Silas is the calculating king and, at points, is obviously viewing David as a threat. And David mentioned Port of Prosperity was his home town during the lunch, so why wouldn't Silas use the town - which obviously has some real value to Gath - as a trump card?

Actually I think my favorite line in the 'Tap' commentary occurs when Fran Drescher appears and I think Nigel says she's had work done.
