MYOF jumped the shark the moment Rabin had a girlfriend, so yeah, I'm sure she's Canadian!

His piece on Peckinpah last week was also terrific. He's an excellent writer, but damn… what a terrible way to go.
it's a guilty…
non-pleasure!
Haha, I agree! When the acts in this movie occurred that Scott doesn't want to describe, I was squirming sure, but I was also thinking 'hey, how do they make those FX?'. That's probably the reason why I can stand so much violence on screen. Though I can't stand to watch hobo fights or Abu Ghraib pictures.
Martyrs is a horror movie for atheists.
The Passion of the Christ is a horror movie for Christians.
Actually, I thought Passion was a more excruciating watch than Martyrs. The torture in Martyrs only lasts a half hour and the supposed 'reasons' for the violence in 'Passion' wasn't really all that better, eh?
Thank God!
At least the stench that is The Lovely Bones didn't hit Gosling.
I just thought it was a good joke.
nice one
'…as he headed to the bank to deposit royalty checks for The Avengers, X-Men and Alien: Resurrection'
I like the Tenebre soundtrack, it was nicely remixed by Justice too.
Italian soundtracks
I just love to listen to soundtracks for Italian exploitation, horror films and spaghetti westerns. Even though a lot of those movies were terrible, they still make the movie feel classy. Ennio Morricone (Who can kill a child?), Goblin (Suspiria of course), Riz Ortolani (Cannibal Holocaust)…
'Thatshj the shjecago wee!'
Alright, Mickey One. Great, I love it when Rabin writes about old flops, they always have something classy, even when they are about a horndog schoolteacher who goes to bed with his students.
Sean Connery
Sean Connery doesn't do accents either (or does he?), but even he has more range than Ford.
Hey Russell
I genuinely like Crimson Tide. It has a hell of a badass cast and some awesome Tarantino dialogue.
Tony Scott
A Tony Scott-movie that's getting okay reviews. There are no certainties anymore! It look so generic and mediocre I'm already falling asleep thinking about Unstoppable. And stop casting Denzel Washington, the guy needs another good role.
And it's great in both the Giorgio Moroder and Stevie Ray Vaughn-version.
Hunky Dory all the way!!!
That is all.
And he had an awesome role in another underrated horror movie, Horror Express.
