Just watched SWAT today and Josh Charles is in it and I couldn't make myself dislike him even though SPOILER he ends up being sort of a bad guy.

YES!  I didn't really like the schmaltzy movie to begin with - but the actual Opus sucked.  The concert for the deaf kids earlier in the movie had much more genuine emotion and worked.

I always laughed at the term "cake-eater" because I grew up near Edina.  Yes, we called them that - but we also knew it wasn't quite the truth.  They were/are rich (mainly) but most kids weren't/aren't.

My SGT and I would sing Newsies to each other on our deployment.  It's amazing how a movie can bring two disparate people together.  Then I got the bright idea of buying us both the dvd and we'd put it on at work and annoy the rest of the office.
