I'm pretty sure we all had that expression on, sitting at home, too. That scene was fantastic.

I was absolutely sure she was gone to Sioux Falls. And that he'd be walking into an empty house. Never so surprised as when I heard her say "Hon?" from a distance.

Same question here! Didn't they spend at least a quarter of last week's show with Liv brokering a pardon from Mellie for Rowan? And all the heartfelt speeches and tears there in the underground tunnel? And suddenly this week, he escaped? And there's a manhunt going on to find him? This is seriously stretching any…
She doesn't need them anymore. She's moved on to the hard stuff.
I feel compelled to say that I get that everyone feels for Gretchen here. I do too. But seriously, it's not just Jimmy who's the worst. It still goes both ways! Having an illness does not make Gretch any more or less the worst. She STOLE A DOG! She stalked people, spied on them, fed their dog bad food and didn't…
Exactly. It seems wrong to "like" but yes. Exactly this.
Agreed. I really have yet to move on from the impact this show and the discussion here have had on me today.
I can't get over how good Justin Kirk was in this. Have missed him!
She does not want him to notice. She was sneaking out to cry, remember? He can't shoulder all the blame here.
I agree on the argument. He probably started in on the scotch even without Jimmy and Gretchen and she was all "Really?!? On the night before the school interview?"
Heartbreaking too how Lexi saying them attracted Gretchen, but as she tries to borrow Lexi' s happiness, her odd spiel scares that other woman away.
I suspect he's never going to notice. He's pretty well wrapped up in spouting off his own opinions. Jimmy was fantastically solid in his"Jimmyness" throughout.
I've watched twice and I still don't think I was ready either time.
Either that or threatened to. I don't think we're supposed to know for sure which.
I think it was also meant to further emphasize how alone Cary is without Kalinda (and Alicia). He's stuck with the old partners, where he's bored and out-of-place, but when he tries to rejoin the associates, it does not go the way he would like it to.
I was kind-of thinking the same thing. What Jimmy had her doing is exactly what they often say you should do to feel better. I think the key difference here is that it's only really going to work if the person does it because they want to, not because they are tricked. And of course the often-mentioned fact that…
Didn't bother me at all. I loved it because the show was telling us that they aren't going to let the romance bit get in the way of Jake and Amy's competitive dynamic. That, among a hundred other things, is one reason this show is brilliant. Their competitions were always a bit silly and over the top.
Arrested by Cagney and Lacey!
I want to watch it again too!
