I remember when Dice was on WTF talking about how his career was back on an up swing after Entourage…he sounded kind of delusional and a bit pathetic. But hey, a part in a Woody Allen movie and buddying up with Louie ain't too shabby.

Not quite. Without Jobs there never would have been an Apple as we know it. Sure, he didn't build the computer circuit by circuit, or engineer the iPod or anything, but he was a bit more than just a marketing guy.
Judging by this excerpt: http://www.salon.com/2013/0… Obst's book is beyond 'shoddily written.' She comes off as being borderline mentally challenged. If she's typical of an 'uber-producer' then it's no wonder Hollywood's fucked.
I read a longer article he wrote in Deadspin too. That didn't really work either. The Karl character is definitely built for Twitter, you guys.
Ya, Filosofem and Hvist Lyset Tar Oss are really quite good. Dark, atmospheric, heavy, but with riffs that are catchy as hell. It's a shame Varg is such a POS.
I think his wife's French so maybe that got him an exception..? But this whole thing might be France's way of trying to kick his ass out.
Living on a bucolic farm in the south of France = pretty fucking metal.
That's an hilarious generalization. So, based on your assumption that most iPhones are owned by women (??), rappers should actually love Samsung because they hate shit that women own… That's some airtight logic.
It's a bit concerning. Last week was supposed to be Kevin Farley, then that got scuttled and the second part of Gilbert Godfried was put up. Now a sudden summer hiatus…hope Norm is okay.
Adam Eget's twitter says he's writing a screenplay with Norm, but surely if they wanted to they could find time to record a one hour…
Haha, Aukerman came out sounding a bit skeevy from that story. Picking up 19 year old busty girls when he was pushing 30. Good on him though nonetheless…
Iggy's two albums with Bowie, The Idiot and Lust for Life, are two of the all time great records. Get them. And Funhouse is my favourite Stooges album by quite a bit.
Did anyone else think it was pretty jarring that Supes let his Earth dad Kevin Costner get sucked up by a tornado?
It would have been pretty easy for Clark to save him while not doing anything overly conspicuous (run out at a decently fast, non-superhuman, pace, grab him, pull him back to the overpass…), but instead…
I quite liked the whole 'important comedian' theme he had through the show. I also like how he doesn't mind saying that Hicks/Lenny Bruce/etc. never made him laugh. To Norm, being funny is the only thing a comedian should worry about, and pretensions at being serious and important are just ridiculous. And yes,…
Really? You think Norm didn't show Mangrate the appropriate level of respect it deserves…?
And I don't think he was full of contempt, he was just doing his Norm-not-giving-a-flying-fuck thing. And yes, you should know that that's what you're going to get if you want Norm to read your shitty ads for your shitty…
Yep. Saw him on the Midnight Vultures tour and it was an insanely entertaining show, one of the best I've ever seen. Saw him again on the Sea Change tour…and it was okay. Love the album, but it's definitely more of a headphone album. Midnight Vultures was made to perform live.
Well this was the best of this series so far. At least Scott picked a song that's not universally shit upon. I like Morrissey but I can see how some could hate that affected voice of his.
And, has Scott Ian aged at all in the last 20 years? He looks the same now as he did in the Bring the Noise video with Public Enemy.
Yep, his talents are perfect for a show like SNL. Just like Phil Hartman was perfect. Not sure how he'll do in the TV/film world, but I'm hoping for the best.
Plus, Norm couldn't act worth shit. But he's always had a solid career as a stand-up so it's not like he's Sheri O'Teri.
Anybody see the documentary about the first Rock the Bells? The guy who started it seemed like he barely knew what he was doing and the whole thing came close to being a complete disaster. Looks like it's still going strong, so good for that guy for getting his shit together.
Oh and Norm's Twitter feed is interesting. Usually just podcast plugs now, and golf observations, but once in a while he'll post short stories. I assume he's written them but not really sure. His WWI story from last November (about the guy who wrote the Flanders Field poem) was really quite good.
