Wow, if this is a gimmick post then good job capturing the shallow petulance of a 14 year old. And the length! Quite impressive to put that much effort into a show blog that very few read. If it's not a gimmick, then what are you, 14?

Something boring on CBC?? Get outta here!
Zelda II? Isn't that the one that came in the gold cartridge for the NES? That was the first one I played and I loved it. Couldn't get into Zelda I after playing II. Link to the Past is far and away my favorite, but then I missed out on the N64 and Gamecube games since I was too busy trying to get laid. Boy were…
It was a bit jarring to see a 15(?) year old crying in full frame HD. Anyone who rap battles him in the future will definitely want to pick that scab.
I think it's the book 'On Killing' that has some fairly surprising stats when comparing wars. The percentage of soldiers that actually fired their guns at the enemy, let alone killed an enemy soldier, in WWII is quite low. Of course, commanders see this as inefficient and the percentage rises through to Vietnam.
Enjoyed all of Wind Up Bird as well. One of those books where I wasn't concerned too much with the plot, I just loved reading it and being in that world, if that makes sense. I'm always impressed when an author pulls that off.
I'm with you on the skipping people I've never heard of. Haven't listened to the Almond one, but it's getting good reviews so I might give it a shot. I also tend to skip the live shows since they are usually stuffed with people I've never heard of.
I wouldn't mind if Marc went to once a week since I find myself…
I listened to the ep. after reading this review and was waiting for Howard to say that he would've raped Jodie too or something equally rough. But no, he made a pretty harmless joke about how being a lesbian probably helped her do that scene and then they kept going.
Not momentum killing, and not so creepy. Just an…
Surprisingly few comments for this show. Does no one else have a wife who insists on watching this??
I came up with a theory about Chris Rene. I don't think that dude went to rehab for booze, there's something way too meth-y about him. I think someone (Chris himself? the show producers?) realized that an alcohol…
Hmmm…beautiful beaches, Spanish influence, horrible violence…
The Philippines: Asia's Mexico.
A lot of the time even those from within the world of comedy don't do so hot on CBB. ie. Todd Barry. Straight standups don't really fit with the whole improv/everything's a bit schtick. But at least they're quicker on their feet than the non-pros. Heder didn't do terribly, but I doubt he'll be back.
Wittels…
Yes. When I first heard 'When will they shoot?' my head almost exploded. And 'Wicked' was loud and fast enough to get the grunge kids into Cube. Agree with above that 'Good Day' was actually a skipable track. A bit too gimmicky for me.
And how about Death Certificate? That's my co-favorite album of his. The…
He must do them under budget and then they make a modest profit. He's like a stock that doesn't skyrocket upward but instead pays a steady, boring dividend no matter what. He's the Procter and Gamble of directors.
Is that Doctorow guy pissed that steampunk has become all mainstream? Or is he in a constant state of bliss? Talk about a trend that's begging to die and be derided in a few years/months.
Hold on hold on, Milla Jovovich is still considered sexy? Is this 1997?
Oooooh flagged for review..now that comment has me curious.
My amount of Simmons listening has dropped off a cliff. But I don't follow football so all those Cousin Sal, Mike Lombardi, random fantasy sports geek episodes go right to the trash.
Nobody can touch Andy Daly, not PFT, not Adomian, nobody.
Agreed. Swardson did too much leading in that bit, Sheer should've shut down some of his ideas.
What could Marc destroy Norm on politically? Norm seems to be pretty apolitical. I've never heard him say anything favoring one side or another.
That said, it also isn't in Marc's interest to put the screws to his guests, otherwise no one would want to talk to him.
