To be fair to her, I remember her saying of 'oh god' and 'really?' a lot. Plus, she had that angry riff on third party voters.

I'm not even asking that of her. I just want her to be less blase about the widely attested rapist. Especially considering she had no problem propping up Ailes as a boogeyman on her show.

You know that you don't have to defend everything about Maddow, right?

That's fair too.

I don't know that I can take Maddow seriously anymore. I'm willing to accept the breathless Trump/Russia coverage as it is important. But then…

Connor needs to get out of his funk ASAP. It's just miserable to watch him now and it's not particularly insightful.

I'm more annoyed at the silly Community Grades. It sucks to see an 'F' throw off the scale when you're trying to gauge how good an episode was at a glance. More generally though, I think this show is good - it's not the show Kayla that, at times, wants it to be but it's good. I feel like most of the 'C' grades are

So, if no one liked the episode which is the case judging from the comments… why is the community grade so high?

I've been disagreeing with a couple of AVClub reviews lately, particularly "Creep" and "A Girl Walks Home At Night", so it's nice to see that matches up well. It's a very sweet movie with likable characters and that's what stood out to me.

There's a lot of well-deserved, well-reasoned, negativity but I've written about this and I feel as though it's worth noting here as well…

I think Heyman's wink at the end of his promo was a hint of him betraying Brock…

I have to say, as someone who counts on AVClub to gauge whether this show is worth watching or not, I hate that some people vote 'F' or an another extremely low grade for no other reason than to throw off the scale. Come on now.

What the show has needed for a long time is a reason to care about these characters and their interactions. While messy at points, this episode accomplished that with some success. Like others, I think the grade is inaccurate - this was easily in the 'B' range.

I'm really upset that they brought Jeremy back just to crap all over his relationship with Elena. I don't think they shared a bunch of scenes in the first four seasons, certainly not as much as they could have, but there was a sweetness and believably to them that completely vanished as of last season. See the episode

So I was worried last week that Sheriff Forbes would be used to simply bring Caroline and Stefan together. How silly of me.

"I'm happy to see Caroline (and Candice Accola) get a storyline that is not about being someone's love interest. "

Touche. I meant as in testing them and seeing how far they'll go… for murder.

I apologize if this has been asked for this particular episode but is Annalise a good lawyer? I ask because every case so far, she's only won due to her students making a discovery or doing something questionable. I understand that every lawyer needs support but the show has done a terrible job of making her seem

So, TVD's idea of a finale (or just an 'important episode') is to sprinkle it with familiar faces and hope it works out?

Not at all. The show is still pretty watchable, but I often get the sense that the grades and reviews are way too positive.
