Good review
This review hit the right audience with me. I'd like to check out this documentary, even if it doesn't have spectacular aesthetic qualities (as mentioned above). I don't think I would have heard about this film without compulsive checking of the AV Club.

Good + Overrated = Terrible
Sorry, Ms Koski, but this is pretty awful. It's a shame; I like Down in the Hole, and I kinda like M.I.A. :(

John McCain
Of course John McCain and Barack Obama aren't talking about torture. They agree on it. They both claim they want to end the shady parts of the war on terror, like closing down Guantanamo. McCain is campaigning against Obama, not against Bush, although both candidates are hitting Washington pretty hard

Netflix's summary certainly doesn't sound appealing either:

I'm wondering what the editors consumed when they decided interviewing Nader was a good idea for their publication which should have nothing to do with politics.

Awesome
This is a much better read than the interview with Ralph Nader. I also like "Clowns!" Yay! I'm like Leigh Watson.

Opposite of a Pragmatist
I try to make a difference in the world by doing something productive.

Preferred Nomenclature
The preferred term is "American Indian" not "Native American." Not that any American Indians really care all that much. I'm probably the only one that reads the A.V. Club.

YAY New TV On the Radio
Hooray!

I agree with tibber. Again, haven't seen The Proposition, though everyone I've spoken with says it's amazing. The Road is so slow.

Mother Night
Remember that movie where Nick Nolte was an American pretending to be a Nazi so he could spy on the Germans during World War II? And the whole thing was about how he wasn't sure if he had done more for the Nazis or for the Americans?

Six and a half years later
This is one of my favorite movies.

Sure
Beetlejuice, Army of Darkness, Dark City, Pulp Fiction, Batman, Batman Returns, Braveheart, Office Space, The Big Lebowski, and Ghostbusters. That should give you a good idea of my age and gender.

Wow, at Chauncy Grizzly, my first cassette was No Jacket Required, and my first CD was Weird Al's Alapalooza. Embarrassing for both of us.

Good job Ms Robinson
Didn't know this came from a book, found the gimmicks about word bubbles, doppels, etc. interesting. Glad I read this one.

Geographical and temporal perimeters
Functional perimeters vary from manifestation to manifestation.

Repulsive is the word for it
I worked at a film studies center in college, handing out films to people who would watch them with headphones at TVs in front of me. I only saw pieces of this with no sound and no idea what was going on. Pretty disturbing.

Judging Anna Faris
I have no idea if Anna Faris can act or if she is funny. I can't imagine taking anyone's opinion about her seriously, since I wouldn't trust the opinion of anyone who sees the movies that she stars in. I guess since you AV Club writers are paid to see her, I should assume you know what you're

Scary Mirrors
I once saw a scary doppelganger in the mirror. Oh, wait, that was someone else:
