Kids get a pass on ketchup. But it's essentially for kids. If you're still eating ketchup past the age of 20 or so, you probably shouldn't be allowed to vote.

I loved that one of the pictures was of a piece of steak. Only a complete philistine puts ketchup on a steak — but in 1968, I'm sure lots of people hadn't gotten that memo.
I find Duck totally interesting, no joke. His failure in season 2 was such a great build-up and fall.
Meredith is unfireable, right? I mean, even Joan must understand that someone so dull-witted, but essentially harmless, is great to have around for laughs, and for scapegoating someday if the shit really hits the fan.
"No, no, no! I ordered hits, not t— Never mind." [storms out, assassinates entire Tataglila Family himself, because that's the only way to get things done right]
Thanks for the tip! I guess that's what I get for not looking closely at the TI itself. I guess I'm becoming one of those people who doesn't even read it, and skips down here to the food thread.
Wow, thanks for the link to the Ranch-Style Beans recipe! I've tried to reverse-engineer those several times in the past, and simply gave up.
We should be moving soon, and I hope-hope-HOPE we get a new place where I can grill.
Sounds delicious. How was the coma afterwards?
I had a sandwich called a Girf from Erbert & Gerberts, and a bowl of beer-cheese soup. It was alright. Nothing special.
When I was single, I used to make a hobo version of your beans and rice, with browned ground beef, white rice, and a can of Ranch-Style Beans™. Yours sounds so much tastier.
Tell me when you're going on your next pic-a-nic, because I want all of that.
Ptomaine!
I like grilled peanut butter and cheese sandwiches, and have even added salami in there, too. Malinger-Her disapproves, so I have to do this on the D.L.
I've never done that, but I'm surprised I haven't. I probably will do this in the future.
I think the only African food I've had was from west Africa, but the guy who ran it said that some of the staples (which was most of what I was eating) was available east-to-west across equatorial Africa. My favorite was a big, gnocchi-like ball in a spicy broth. Sounds like a lot of nothing, but it was really tasty.
"killer Ethiopian and Vietnamese restaurants"
I skipped everything else in the article just to come down here and agree with you (or say it myself, if no one else had).
Yeah, I'm more familiar with the Southwestern version of that, which is basically a Frito-chili pie. Having it in the bag of Fritos is just a practical consideration if you want to walk around while eating it (can of beer goes in your back pocket).
All of that sounds great.
