I was confused by @avclub-d7ccb841e1c86abdc1d1d6e6bacb6f17:disqus 's comment before it was cool to be confused by it.  Now that everyone doesn't get it, I kind of get what he's saying.

Objectively, the best, most memorable opening for a comedy set of all time was when Andrew Dice came out on stage, and smoked a cigarette in silence for almost a full minute.  Just as people were about to burst from the anticipation, he says:
