I know this is a total sidebar and I don't mean to derail the discussion but I've seen "Trump might be a sociopath" come up a few times and it doesn't add up. He checks a few boxes, sure, but A) not enough of them and B) I don't want any kind of guesswork diagnosis to even remotely exempt him from the responsibilities…

Yeah it's funny that in order to promote the latest zillion-dollar effects-driven movie, they put the gorgeous star on camera and proceed to capture her voice via methods that lack the quality of a punk rock demo made by homeless kids from Utah.

I'd upvote this, but I don't care anymore.

Sting has made several excellent solo records, most notably "The Soul Cages", which is a beautifully melancholic reflection on death, written after his father passed away.

It's not

Saw "The Nice Guys" which I had high hopes for, but after starting off well it kinda lost its edge a bit. Still it had some great lines ("this place seems so much bigger now") and I really think Gosling is finding a home in comedy.

Oh boy, Kristen Bell on Deadwood….forgot about that. Rough stuff.

Only on a night where Dave Damn Chappelle was hosting could McKinnon's brilliant showing not earn MVP honors. She fucking ruled.

Zodiac is such a brilliant, complex movie. I have to watch it about once a year and always have new thoughts on it. All the psychological intensity aside, though, one of my fave moments is the hilarious "yeah, he's crafty like that".

Probably stating the obvious, but Mulholland Drive really benefits from multiple viewings. It didn't floor me until the third time around and now it's my favorite movie.

Looking forward to Complete Unknown but not expecting a masterpiece. My expectations for Arrival, though, are super high.
