I think the Evil Dead remake is great, it's properly nasty with excellent gore. Pretty rare.

I felt that way after S4, regardless of what was in the news.

"Altered States" is gonzo fun, I love it.

I always thought the notion of a place like Fargo actually having organized crime was part of the joke. It's just part of the weird, absurd framework that they use to tell larger stories about human nature in general.

"Martyrs" is pretty crazy and I've avoided seeing it a second time for years because of what happens towards the end. I've been there and done that when it comes to watching nasty horror but it tapped into something specific for me that I have a hard time explaining.

Re-reading Tom Robbins' excellent "Fierce Invalids Home From Hot Climates", my favorite book by one of my favorite authors.

Oh man somehow the trailer for the AbFab movie played before The Neon Demon last weekend; my girlfriend and I were howling and none of the other eight people there reacted at all.

Yeah "I don't FEEL drunk" is also good. The occasional humor in the film really does work well.

Awesome fuckin' movie. The director did say that he studied the time period and really wanted to get the details right, language in particular. Unbelievable that it was his debut, it rocked my world.

I don't even have a real argument against "Slacker" except that I thought it was really boring. I wouldn't assail it and try to prevent someone from watching it, it just wasn't my cup of tea. For those that enjoy it, I say cool.

His eyes say "I'm tired" but yeah they say it well.

I think "Shark With A Personal Vendetta Against Blake Lively" would be a really boss gimmick account.
