So we'll see it in December.

That tag was a thing of beauty.

Yeah the cliff hanger was in a kind of weird place. Still I'm glad the show is back.

I like this episode, not as much as "Mummy on the Orient Express", but still a very good story.

Wow, and I looked at the Season 10 entries to make sure only two stories still needed to be covered.

He's been waiting two years to use that one.

Well since there are two spots open between the remaining serials in this season, why not link the 3rd and 5th Doctor stories.
The Three Doctors, followed by, Arc of Infinity
or
The Sea Devils, followed by, Warriors of the Deep

This story popped into my mind as soon as "Hide" finished.

Let's see, some quick notes on the spin-off that I've checked out since the last one of these:
Ten Little Aliens, 1, Polly, Ben. A nice little whodunit with some interesting turns. I'm not sure about setting a story between "The Smugglers" and "The Tenth Planet" though.
Twilight of the Gods, 2, Jamie, Victoria.

Big Finish aren't allowed to reference any of the events from the 2005 series onwards (directly or indirectly).

I loved seeing Abslom Daak in that clip of known criminals.

I'd watch that. (Mostly while intoxicated, but still I'd watch it)

Very true. Also on the subject of "The Stones of Blood" anyone know what's going on with the Classic Who reviews here?

The worst part, is that Paradise Towers had a completely different soundtrack originally. Maybe it was too moody at some points but on the whole it was great and kept the story from feeling less camp.

If it's the third Doctor next I suggest we finish off Season 10 so it'd be:
Frontier in Space
The Power of Kroll
Planet of the Daleks
The Armageddon Factor

I'd like to see Survival be the final story reviewed.

I think RTD takes more from Cartmel than Moffat. RTD used the who Doctor as an ancient mysterious being thing. With Moffat who the Doctor was before he left Gallifrey isn't important, it's what he's done since then that's important.

Yeah the IDW crossover was pretty dire, I'd say it's second only to "Agent Provocateur" as the worst thing they put out while they had the license. Though they did reach pretty good heights in some releases. Their two big problems were 1) the writing could be pretty fan wanky, and 2) the most common art was marmite.

The Excelis series is definitely a mix bag. The relic is an
interesting concept and spreading a story over centuries and Doctors is a
great idea, but like Nathan Ford's Evil Twin, I think the series as a
whole lacks cohesion. Some interesting notes: These stories were
released in February, April and July 2002,
