Agree with you completely on "Bloodtide"
Quick note, "The Lost Stores: Volume 1" is actually "Short Trips: Volume 1" an audio continuation of their hardback anthologies (BBC Books had the rights to paperback anthologies called "Short Trips"). That said, I do love "Rise and Fall" and "The Wings of a Butterfly".

Yeah and since it's out of print most people trying to sell it second hand are asking for ridiculous amounts of money. Though keep a look out, I got mine for $15 shipped from the amazon marketplace.

Vaguely related spinoff
"The Lodger" by Gareth Roberts
featuring the 10th Doctor and Mickey Smith
from DWM 368, collected in The Betrothal of Sontar.
Having not read this until last October it's odd experiencing this story with a completely different relationship between the Doctor and his forced flatmate. Let alone the

Actually if Christopher switches "The Moonbase" with the "TBA 7th Doctor story", that would be a great time to do "Dragonfire" for (as Mr. Greene says) "the Glitz-iness".

I'm not a huge fan of what Virgin New Adventures I've read so far, I think they're okay but not as great as others seem to. So I guess that's why I liked "The Shadow of the Scourge" so much, because it takes the chess master Doctor and brings him down a little. I also found the idea of the Scourge fascinating and well

On the special edition DVD of this story the Delaware version is on the extended first episode. I also remember my VHS of Planet of the Daleks used that version on episode three.

I loved "Hunters of the Burning Stone". I knew DWM were doing a celebratory comic series but just the shock of that final page in part one, and then having to wait another month for the next issue, it was something. What did you think of "Imaginary Enemies" it was the single issue Christmas story between "The Broken

I used to hate that "I believe in HER!" bit because it seemed to confirm a romantic relationship, but having seen "The Curse of Fenric" I just chalk it up to his general faith in his companions.

Favorite song is probably "Nowhere Man"
Favorite album? I'll be a little odd and say it's the same album twice. The UK and US versions of Rubber Soul, both offer something slightly different and equally worthwhile.

I enjoyed The Nightmare Fair. Mission to Magnus has some dodgy sexual politics and the Doctor is a bit wet at the start. The Hollows of Time is just odd but is better on a relisten. The Ultimate Evil is kind of typical Season 22 but the Doctor is a bit mellower. To be honest what surprised me when reading and

Actually, to be pedantic. There were six stories planned for Season 23 in various stages of development. They were in order The Nightmare Fair, The Ultimate Evil, Yellow Fever and how to Cure It, Mission to Magnus, The Hollows of Time, and The Children of January

Have you listened to "An Earthly Child" yet? It was one of the subscribe bonus releases, but is now available to the public. Not to give up too much, but you should listen to it before "Situation Vacant".

Pretty good overall. I really enjoyed Monroe's proposal.
Two other details that stood out to me:
The Wildesheer had a picture of Nick from a newspaper article about the "Organ Grinder" case.
Nick's mom is still trying to destroy the coins. So how does the comic book series fit into the show's timeline? In the comic,

Favorite line of the night:
"No you guys are being stupid. Especially Ted"

"who does Eden Sher have to bone to get an Emmy nod?"

I don't know. I mean I get not wanting to do four straight articles on "Trial of a Time Lord", but having an alternating story between each segment drags the whole thing out longer than is needed. Maybe it should be "Mysterious Planet" followed by "Mindwarp" followed by a different serial then going for broke and

You know I was gonna take him out myself, but you know, "ladies first".
Also:
We just assumed you were a terrifying human being with a short fuse.

I've heard it, and I like it. It's not a complex story, or entirely original, but it's great anniversary fun.

I too, loved this story when I "saw" the recon. But as great as they are they really can't give the whole picture. Look at the opening of Episode 1, in the Loose Cannon recon we see a shot of the Doctor in the sea, then the caption says "The Doctor stubs his toe on a rock. Jamie laughs enthusiastically." Which isn't

Actually their license for Doctor Who expires at the end of they year.
Which is kind of a shame, since most of what I've read has been pretty
enjoyable.
