@avclub-858a7d21421b7492a5c8a80b02b65822:disqus I don't think you understand what the word "predicted" means, but you got me to click on your blog and read about why you hate Channing Tatum, so you're welcome for the page views. As a former blogger, I know how important those can be to one's self worth.
Unrelated, Megan Ganz tweeted that she will be staying on for S4.

@Gorfious:disqus Well, from your comment, it would appear that Sony as least has the "insane" part down right.

I actually had this same thought early on in the episode as well. I thought they were really going to do something groundbreaking with it.

I'm not usually one that enjoys ambiguous endings. I like everything to be tied together, in one way or another, even if the eventual outcomes are what I personally would've liked to have seen play out.
@avclub-41ee3d54f7e48b58026e65f2e4aa665a:disqus While I don't disagree that this third season has been uneven at times; I feel like that's a real unfair qualifier to put on the show. It hasn't even had three full seasons yet and you're going on about it not having "a season that's topped Season 1."
I didn't think it was the worst. Nor did I think it was the best. It was a solid double up the middle and got the runner on third to score.
He does forget him. Annie mentions him, Kim, before Britta shows up and sees New Subway Guy, and Jeff goes: "Kim who?"
This is very similar to what I said last week. How much longer do we give an episode a pass because it appears to be setting something up. I hope there's a payoff, and soon, and I hope it's more than worth it.
I would agree with this sentiment and that's why I'm giving this episode a pass.
Nothing beats Roxy Music's "Mother of Pearl" playing over Ted realizing he didn't want to go on his 'perfect' blind date, towards the end of S1, and knew that he wouldn't trade Robin for another girl.
I think it has more to do with Marshall than it does with Ted. Ted may finally be ready and able to move on from Robin, but maybe that's always what Marshall wanted for Ted. He wants Ted to find 'the one.' I think it's more Marshall holding out hope for Ted than anything else.
Oh definitely. I don't disagree with that at all and was happy my own self to see it coincide.
Prop 8 deals with the ban put forth in California and wouldn't have any affect on New York. New York, the state, legalized gay marriage a while ago.
I've always gotten the feeling that the mother will be brunette. When they had the brief alternate timeline when Ted is telling his kids that things didn't work out with Stella, they flash to an image of the kids with blonde hair.
