I think you're right but even if the broadcast did not create any real change it did remove most of the reason the government was hunting River. Don't know if that was worth the lives it cost but it was a nice side benefit.

I just rewatched this episode, going through the season again to get ready for season 2, and noticed an interesting clue regarding the man in the painting and his motive. Just after Holmes and Watson talk about the painting they meet Natasha and Sherlock asks her why she has given up her previous research. She…
I agree. I stopped watching Voyager after about four episodes. Brandon makes it sound like the final season might be worth watching though.

@avclub-8583cd7c50cc85d47a8db2dae972cd72:disqus You make a really good argument. The only problem I have with is, this is Sherlock Holmes we are talking about. The guy who will know what you do for a living because of the callous on your pinky finger and the stain on your shoe. Imagine being around that for a year.…
@avclub-b9a25e422ba96f7572089a00b838c3f8:disqus I don't know how, but then, I'm not Sherlock Holmes.
Can't wait for Leonard to get get back so Penny can meet him at the door in a little sailor outfit. hmm… seems like there should be a seaman joke here too but I am scared to look for it.
Man, I am so sad I am not a woman cause I am crazy turned on right now.
