Put me in a car with Penny and I guarantee I will be expressing all kinds of emotion no matter who is in the back seat.

Oh Em Ge With Leonard out to sea this is finally the opportunity for Penny and Sheldon to hook up.

I would counter argue that the laugh track is the worst lingering element. I can usually ignore it but early in the episode when Leonard and Sheldon were in the car it drove me nuts.

Was her plan to run of with Holmes and live off the billion she would make on the currency scam or was she still going to run her criminal enterprise from a beach hut in Tahiti?

AND I LIKED IT!

I vote for giving Watson a gun and putting her in tight leathers.

I thought it was awful damn quick to rename Sutter Risk also. But I guess it was to try and hide the connection.

Great catch @avclub-5e7e49d9ac705cfa3a4ec1b2b4692404:disqus . Can someone watching this on HD and a big screen tell us if Irene had a manicure? I love the idea of her captor giving her a mani pedi.

@avclub-8583cd7c50cc85d47a8db2dae972cd72:disqus seemed to me he found her "not boring at all" which isn't the same thing. There was the "you're rude too" bit but that didn't seem like Holmes saw Irene as an intellectual giant. And if he did see her as his equal that just makes it more unbelievable. The core of Holmes

@avclub-a6421715d9138b287e46447bd800f0ea:disqus She would have gotten away with it if it weren't for those darn kids!

Even if you buy that Irene is Holme's intellectual equal and would be able to fool him, shouldn't he have at least been able to pick up that she was fooling him in some way even if he couldn't figure out what it was about? Holmes was in an intimate relationship with one of the greatest minds on the planet for a year

@avclub-daa7103cf8ad1ba37c19eb5440a14da5:disqus Except for the Person of Interest or Hannibal stuff and the idea that what Andrew Scott has done is any good, I agree with everything you said. I am just way to lazy to write all that.

If Irene and Moriarty are really gone from the series I will agree with you. That would be a good thing.

Brett still remains top of the heap to me. At least in playing the Holmes of the books. Just such a large body of flawless work.

eh. you are way off base. it will turn out that Irene's twin sister is really Moriarty and the real Irene has been kidnapped by aliens. this is CBS we are talking about.

Watson figured out Irene was sooooo in love with Holmes that if he overdosed she would come see him. I guess it was that female intuition bullshit that made it so hard for Moriarty to figure out Watson. /spit.

Other than the just off screen shooting of the married couple I didn't think there were any surprises. Was really hoping they would veer from some of the stuff they've been telegraphing for weeks. I know I'm just a nut barking at the moon but I thought it was boring and disappointing.

In the first couple of episodes I thought JLM was playing House playing Sherlock. But as the series went a long he really developed his take on the character.

I certainly cant argue against your point that America loves stupid things. And if I pay attention to the laugh tracks they annoy me but I find it pretty easy to tune them out.

@drdarke:disqus thx. good to know my plan will work even if it's more of a nuclear option then I was intending. But I will avoid the show for now. There is going to be another season of Archer so I can hold out.
