I think the fact you don't feel you already have a dedicated Martian perspective in Alex is a little sad for the character. In the books they really don't develop him until the third and fourth, but that's the sort of thing I'd rather see being brought forwards. They've already developed Naomi more than the books do

They usually run at .3 or .6G if they're not in a hurry but even a belter crew will burn at higher G (2-3) for long bursts if they have somewhere to be.

Belters can withstand high Gs for limited periods fine it's just extremely taxing on them. The Roci can pull up to like 15Gs or something insane and regularly briefly pushes into the 2-4G range during combat maneuvers which they survive largely thanks to "the juice".

Were you at all disappointed with the first two episodes of this season? The introduction of Bobbie this early just feels unnecessary and I found the assault on Toth to be a complete anti-climax. I mean basically it was just one group of guys in a hallway who got wasted by random gunfire and then they had the station.

In the one off sure they can easily go toe to toe, but a sustained military action. The Martians would be worn down just existing in a constant 1g.

They train for stints at 1g but they don't live in it nor are they training in it for months at a time. The books don't specify how they achieve it but it's probably done for weeks at a time on a ship providing 1g of thrust gravity.

They would present a risk to his control over the town bringing in a group of people who already know and trust each other who are better equipped and trained? Why shouldn't they be the ones controlling the town? Better to kill them and take their equipment.

I haven't seen a single post about this (in otherwords ctrl-f with bees found nothing) so I will say that the single greatest thing that really sold me on this pilot and makes me think they really want to do something good with this series is the fact that he keeps bees. Which is a very nice nod to Laurie R. King's

I just had pleasure/displeasure of watching this on hulu… there were moments in this pilot that I generally did enjoy. What felt off to me, and as mentioned in this review, was  Perry's (I can't even remember what the characters name is…)  "explosion" because it really didn't feel like one. That's what drove me away
