I really should have seen that coming. I thought Rachel had officially turned Ruthless and Monomaniacally Focused on Revenge, which ipso facto made her ineligible for One True Pairings.

Nolan was trying. When Irisa announced (somewhat petulantly) that she was going out despite the "weather," he didn't protest or ground her or do anything that would lead her to snap back "You're not my dad!" Cool. This allowed *her* to invite *him*, in a gruff, keeping-sentimentality-in-check way ("So are you coming

Before her visit: She was pretty sure of what they had done; they were mostly clueless about her.

So on the bright side (?), Level 12 did not contain Randall's mutant son or some other grotesque and mythology-muddling thing.

So many completely arbitrary things.

I'm at least going to watch a few episodes, if only to better inform my bashing. (In other words, so I can really put my back behind my "Fuck you, The Killing!"s.)

So since the cop (Mrs. Foster) got her last name via her first marriage… (I'm trying to see if there's any way to make the nominal predetermination any easier to swallow, but I don't think it helps.)

"When I was little, I had to walk from my isthmus to school, and it was uphill both ways!"

Is their last name actually Foster? Because that would be ridiculous, but otherwise the title doesn't quite seem idiomatic.

Condoms are good for you and caffeine is bad for kids—I can buy this.

When *I* move to California, I want a beach *without* mines, if at all possible.

I found myself buying her performance here. She sells the cop aspect, which she conveys in a slightly understated way. She laughs in disbelief in the spots where another show would have had her show outward anger.

I know, there's a problem with your face.

I only remember that it was "Unexpected" because of the twee acronym for the main character's name, Lux.

This joke arrived so Suttonly.

I would totally get a shirt that said

This has been discussed in other threads, but some easily-addressed issues like the funny money could have been made American if they so chose.

Yeah, for a second I wondered whether this was a "Cosima has bigger boobs" type of thing, with Rachel slightly taller than the others, but it was only the heels. The shot of the two of them *was* funny for some reason.

I submit "clonerows."

I briefly considered this too. Ultimately I discarded it, deeming "pro-" an unlikely shortening of "proto-", but I confess that it's the meaning that makes the most sense to me.
