I'm not entirely sure how its gotten so much hype. Its so pedestrian. There's very little real emotion to hang onto. The torture scenes are the ones people complain about but at least they had some oomph. After that its just boring. Even the raid at the end was by the numbers and lacked any tension.

Its true, I thought it was a film with absolutely nothing to say about anything.

That and the whole "you don't know, I could work at night, be a creative type". He couldn't even put her down by telling her he isn't unemployed because he doesn't want to admit what he does and instead reveres the creative types and aspires to be like them.

And this is the biggest problem with Marnie. The show isn't so simple that it can get away with the actors not properly conveying their emotions properly. Its why Marnie feels such a cold, flat character.

Person of Interest is the first post-post 9/11 show. @PhilNugent:disqus wrote a great article about it last week.

Its probably a deliberate way to show his work ethic. Just because he thinks he's a loser and Shoshanna expects more from him doesn't mean he isn't a hard working, smart and capable guy. No doubt over time that will all play itself out.

I agree with you but I'm not sure I would have were I still at that stage of my life. Its easier to spot what you went through than what you are going through.

Wow this is what we're discussing? After watching that episode I was expecting criticism of Williams but not for her lack of nudity.

Here in Ireland we also have shows like the Walking Dead and other American action shows and films that include shooting stuff. However our gun violence is minimal and usually confined to gangs of drug dealers shooting at each other.

Its just a pity they didn't hire a better actress to play Pope.
