@Dickachu,

From the review: " That ending does include a cliffhanger…"

Not a fan of Spoilers
I wasn't really planning on playing this sequel for quite a while; there are just so many other games and it's hard to find the time. Having said that, there's no need to be so cavalier about plot elements in an RPG review; I don't think it's professional. When you specifically mention that

But yeah, having an unleashed dog chase after you—even a friendly dog that just wants to play with you and slobber all over the water bottle you use to drink from—not cool.

I've never tried to get high from drugs but I constantly try to get high through long runs. The "runner's high" is a real phenomenon and is great…so long as you get it, and it seems I'm only ever able to get it one month of the year. I guess sometimes I do do "drugs"—I've combined running with regular intake of ST.

No love for parrots here?

I like how in 2001 the book HAL is depicted as slightly more assertive aggressive, manipulative, in so far as HAL is capable of such behaviours. Examples include his suggestion to Dave to "take a stress pill" and the fact that he tried to suffocate Dave from within the ship by draining out the oxygen.
