There's been grumbling all season long about the shows decrease in quality (often understandably), but I'm still taken aback at the level of hate this particular episode seems to have provoked.  This and last weeks episode are pretty much the only two 4th season eps I can say I've enjoyed without any caveats.

I'm pretty sure her playing "Mrs. Winger" in the hotel was a far worse blow to her character.

Same here, glad I'm not the only one…

Remember when the Dean told the study group about an actual, life-endangering fire before alerting the rest of the student body in order to get them out first?  It's not like he doesn't play favorites, and besides the Dean is obviously reliant upon the study group, he was just showing them off to a bunch of what I

Different strokes for different folks.  I really dug this episode, but I would gladly destroy every last copy of "Paranormal Parantage", "Conventions of Space and Time" or "Economics of Marine Biology" if no one ever had to be subjected to them ever again.

I enjoyed this ep far more than any other episode this season by a country mile.  Part of it must be my love of catching any glimpse of these characters that shows them to be not-so-great human beings.  Also the episode had some actual ambition, something lacking from everything else this season.

Poor Pop really got the shaft reception-wise…maybe they should have gone with "Staring at the Sun" as the first single over "Discothèque"

Interesting, now I must investigate.  Thanks for the tip!

I'm pretty sure the new guys don't give a crap re: Dan Harmon's  8-point story structure, unfortunately.  It's too bad too, I think Dan's slavish devotion to it is what really made so many of those episodes great.

The thing that bothers me about the Troy/Britta relationship is that Troy doesn't even seem that into it.  Like in last nights episode or at the Inspector Spacetime convention, Britta just seems like an obstacle to his fun rather than someone he actually wants to spend time with.

I caught that as well, think of the splinters!

I'm a little afraid I only liked this episode because I'm secretly a Britta/Jeff shipper.  I am a teenage girl.

Well then I've got some bad news for you…

My sister recently tried to introduce my mother to Sunny, and her efforts crashed and burned spectacularly.  I've had better success with Parks and Rec.

@avclub-0f0d67e214f9fef69b278e3d08114da9:disqus I always saw Charlie as sort of the anti-Dennis, so that makes sense.

I just have to interject and say that "The Gang Recycles Its Trash" is an unquestionably awesome episode of the show.

I think season 7 is fantastic but I rarely bring it up around these parts because when I do, I get met with a chorus of disagreement.  But I loves me some Thunder Gun Express.

The show is still consistent, there are a few off episodes every season but that's always been true for the show.  Season 8 in particular has some real gems, hunt down the therapy episode guest-starring Kerri Kenney for a recent highlight.

Finding out that a show I've taken a shine to has a bunch of episodes I haven't seen feels like winning the lotto to me, or as close as I'll ever get.  It's like finding a treasure trove!

Yeah I just realized that 80-90% of the shows I actually give a crap about are on FX.  There was a time when NBC could give them a run for their money, but no longer.
