Dear God, I googled it and it's true. Who would do that to his kid?

I'd have to say Daredevil. I like the CW fare as well, but it's one step behind, even though the good news is that season 4 Arrow has recovered from season 3. One show I didn't care for was Jessica Jones. I could see why it was being praised, but it was just too bleak for me, exhaustingly so.

I didn't know about the other one. I don't really know what's going on with Green Arrow, and I don't want to buy the book.

I liked Edge of Oblivion. As for the "deaths", no bodies, weird blackhole-like thing… I remain doubtful. Unless the author feels he can get away with it because there'll be a reboot anyway.

It does seem weird. I read excellent books from both publishers, and in both cases I have to set aside the same amount of crap. I think maybe people were very disappointed by the New 52 relaunch, and it's the tail end of that backlash you're observing.

Has anyone been reading Green Arrow these days? I'm not, but I read the summary of the latest issue and I gathered that he is some sort of werewolf now? What the hell?

I'll bring the popcorn.

That makes two "wonders of space" episodes in a row. They were both pretty generic, this week more than last week, but I always like those types of episodes more than I should: one of the big draw of Sci-fi for me is travelers seeing wondrous things, be they story related or not. I'd be fine with a sci-fi show or book

Unfortunately they're musical emojis, so they're very annoying as well.

The myth thing is something I really like with superhero comics. I actually got into comics very late, after responding to a call for papers for a conference on the formation of mythology. Contemporary stuff isn't my field, but one of the themes the call mentioned was modern myths and comics. It got me curious, I

I thought the Justice League Gods and Monsters cartoon was interesting in that regard. Of course it isn't the same character, but there's also the problem of what stops him from just taking over, all the more present since he doesn't have the same moral background as Clark Kent.

Clap. It's so hot right now.

So THAT's how you get tenured. Hmm. It opens a lot of new prospects. I'll get my Scrabble set and just throw the letters randomly around.

I thought the ban was just for minors?

I really enjoyed the art but I thought the characters were all generic, to the point where I couldn't really tell them apart. I stopped when the arrival of a crazy ex boyfriend or whatever was announced, having pretty much lost all interest in the book.

I'd have said troll, but I guess it works too.

At this point it's a wonder there's a team "you're OK, Zack Snyder".

I didn't care for the movie, but the narration is actually one of the things I liked, if only because it brought the movie some much needed rhythm. Goggins hamming it up is another thing I enjoyed, but apart from that, I found myself bored. The fact that the movie theatre I was in had really uncomfortable chairs

So he'll stoop to that conqueror role.

That movie was easily one hour too long.
