Sounds a lot like a bridge tournament only it's nerd instead of old people.

Isn't that a castle in Britain ?
I see what you mean. But I saw the giggling as symbolic of the larger problem. Also to be honest it really got on my nerves. I guess teaching will do that to you.
Having seen the pilot I'm not sure I want to watch the series. Way too much giggling. It seems like a bunch of writers sat together and decided to do a superhero show for girls, and apparently their definition of girls is giggles and rom com clichés.
You had me at swashbuckling swordplay. Not enough of it on tv, and the musketeers aren't on. (Another example of an awesome terrible show)
Is it worth watching ? It sounds like it could be fun and/or terrible.
You're only hurting yourself, Internet.
True… I was mainly thinking about combat sports.
The way clothes are shaped and cut reflects that. There's always more variety for "thin" women. And there's also the fact that quite often women are supposed to be just thin, not especially fit. Just practicing a sport regularly may keep you out of a number of sleeves in clothes that are otherwise your size.
I don't know. Muscles take a lot of space. Realistic Lara Croft would be bulkier but all muscular.
It's also about balance for me. I can put up with a lot if the writing or the art is really good, but there if either goes into terrible category, I usually can't go on.
What an edgy comment
That would also be my example of liking the art way better than the story. I especially like the part when it's snowing. But that's also the part of the writing that I like best, with a nice relationship between Damian and Dick.
You wish… They always try to prove they have a social consciousness, so they'll always take place in some grimy suburb or economically destroyed area
I do agree. Young Justice was a bizarre mix between trying way too hard to be serious and all grown up, and truly juvenile comic relief. (So, basically, teenagers) JLU had much more subtlety, for example in the way the characters interacted with each other. No awkwardness there, or if there was it was intentional.
That's what I meant, yeah. Men as well as women look like they're packaged fruit.
To clarify what I said : they look like they're made of fabric, not some weird plastic stuff whose main purpose seems to be to adhere as closely as possible to their breasts.
As far as Robins go, and in the "let's make things practical" department, I really like the current Grayson's outfit. Not flashy, yet still recognizable.
It really was the worst. You look at it and the only question that comes to mind is "Dear God why ?". It cannot even be explained away as some sort of gym outfit.
They manage to look like actual clothes, which is indeed pretty awesome.
