I tried reading Interview with a vampire a few years ago, but couldn't make it past the first 100 pages, because, to be honest, I found it rather boring and dreadfully serious. Should I persevere, or does the fact that I didn't like this one mean I won't like any of her books ?

You beat me to it ! One of my favourite movies. And the views of Brasilia are amazing.

Well, you've got Gaslight Anthem. It's also about girls named Marie or Jenny and going to the river and taking drives and all that.

For no particular reason, I rather think Matt could be the slasher.

I rather think it's Matt. He knows where the weapons are and he hasn't had anything to do for a while.

Saint Sulpice church in Paris was plagued for a while by people who didn't care about the architecture but were looking for secret conspiracies or whatever.

Don't call Gruffudd Handsome Actor #4316 ! He was great as Hornblower and in Warriors.

What you said in french : Il est aussi à moitié français what makes him even more happy more fresh to go out with of Sophia.

Or it could be something with puppets rather than CGI or animated stuff. Well made ones, with that weird dark crystal look.

I don't know how I would feel about that, even with Cronenberg involved. A big part of the attraction is that those novels are beautifully written, which is not the case with GoT. And I'm not sure how all the creatures would look on a screen.

Maybe if I send this review to iTunes they'll give me a refund.

Is objectivism really that important in the USA ? Because I live in Europe and before checking out this article, I had absolutely no idea who Ayn Rand was, and hadn't even heard her name. I was happy that way.

No love for the usual french movie script : "thirty something, living in the 5th arrondissement in Paris, has a life crisis and possibly daddy issues" ?

The first OSS movie is much better than the second, and even that one has its moments. They're also very quotable. But maybe they're not as good when dubbed or subtitled.

Not as far as I can remember. You just find a few allusions to the earlier books. I hope I'm not wrong, but anyway the point of the books is more the depiction of Rome through the eyes of Decius than the whodunits.

The Sacrilege can perfectly be read as a stand alone, although the whole SPQR series is really worth checking out. The same author wrote a couple of books were Hannibal did conquer Rome.
