Ed's Redeeming Qualities was from Boston, so I always thought it referenced Mass Rte 9, which bisects the state. Deal did seemingly confirm that at Lollapalooza '94 in Rhode Island. But the "Carson City" and "130" references would seem to suggest it is not Rte 9 in Mass.
