But it turns out the head network executive is actually a sleeper agent for the viewers, trying to dumb down the network a la The Producers to provoke resistance.

I'd like to think they were trying to be ridiculous. Maybe at this point they've given up.

Jack Palance is just such a master of overacting, and it works so well with Morricone. Thank you for that.

I only take my Doobie Brothers news from Michael Douglas reading a copy of Rolling Stone he found in a plane in the jungle.

Is this an actual sentiment held by you? Or an ironic statement of its opposite?

I wrote a Cormac McCarthy version of Vacation, entitled The Holiday Road, expanded from a comment I wrote here, probably on a newswire about this movie. It maybe should have just stayed a comment. I hadn't read as much McCarthy then as I have now. But it was still fun to write:

I think he meant in terms of Chase's comedic persona, which is to throw barbs at the people standing next to him's expense. Like doesn't he make dirty jokes for the audience's sake while talking to Rusty? I forget.

I think these are the right times for a Bell Witch update.

The lead character should be called Nancy, and her sister should irritatingly nickname her Preggers. The name of the film will be Preg Nancy.
