The Cappa verse, like many a Cappa verse, has good individual lines (I actually really like "Vocabulary Donna talkin', tell your story walkin'"!) but just doesn't come together.

Haha, my favourite line is right before that:

I could listen to a loop of "Know the Ledge" and "Ghost is Back" for literally hours… and they have the same beat!

Yeah, Eric B. himself barely tries to take credit for most of the Eric B. and Rakim production work, as far as I can tell. He picked some samples and did some scratches, but he was primarily in charge of the business end.

I typed and posted a long and thoughtful reply, but it seems to have disappeared!

But… what other route could there be? Unless you made every season cover only a few months, there's going to be a presidential election at some point in season 4.

I am 100% unequivocally loving this Kent-Sue relationship. Really kicks both characters up a notch.

"Secondly, I never said "fat" people, full stop. I used the term obese,
and went out of my way to qualify what I was referring to, and to
carefully massage out a caveat to the OP's larger point. Don't be that
person."

The biggest health care expenses are basically keeping old people alive: particularly the last few years of their life, as they require more care just to keep up a basic quality of life and then eventually require palliative care for whatever illness finally brings them down.

I'd say that's a pretty small subset, and that they're misinterpreting the "Health at Every Size" movement just as badly as opponents of that movement.

The cruelest intolerance of all is when people are rightly criticized for being assholes.

This comment has been rattling around in my brain the past few days. Not that it was 100% news to me that Nintendo's corporate practices aren't super-admirable. But still. It's troubling for me in a way it isn't with a lot of corporations, I suppose because Nintendo is one of the only (maybe the only?) giant

Funny the imagery these guys leap to when they think about gay rights, isn't it? You'd almost suspect that he has some buried, forbidden desire for us to slide our thick, juicy social agenda down his throat.

Yes, the way things are for your team today are just terrible. Why, I bet being a homophobe today is probably almost 5% as bad as it was to be a gay person during the majority of human history when you guys were running the show.

"Funny we never wish that on anyone."

"You gonna cry like any good ignoramus lib now?"

Aw, don't feel bad! Compared to how it's gonna be for people like you in ten years, this is the Garden of Eden for homophobic assholes.

Yeah, I've seen people essentially say "I love Nintendo, but they need to ditch this Mario and Zelda stuff, ditch the gimmicky controllers, invest in some cutting edge processors, and start working on a new IP: something mature, maybe an open-world MMO FPS."

Hopefully @avclub-6d70794a854c67a64a9d29a5f32a2c61:disqus gets the WiiU and can report back to us with some data to test my assumptions against!

Well, for some games, it hardly matters. There a few stages in Mario 3D World that use the GamePad, but I mean, a few. Three, maybe.
