Having thought about it, the ultimate version of constructing a funny scene is the montage from Paradigms of Human Memory.

I completely agree with the article.

I assumed the symmetry with the season 3 episode was deliberate and the point was to show the difference in Penny's response. A neat bit of characterisation.

Good episode.

Ron Swanson would be hilarious on any show. You could put Ron Swanson on the hackiest show on television and the character would still be funny.

I think the writers always intended for the company to struggle due to mismanagement rather than it being a retcon.

I expanded my comment while you were replying and it made your post seem redundant. Apologies.

Precisely.

>I'm convinced if this show had half the viewers, it would have 90% less hate.

I dislike wacky plotlines and characters acting like cartoonish caricatures.

I don't understand why NBC would even consider picking up Save Me. Even if it's the best show ever, it's an incredibly tough sell. Look at A Gifted Man, a show which bombed because of an equally silly premise.

I think he's underused playing Jerry in P&R. I was surprised just how funny he was at Paleyfest.

I made a comment that Fox seemed to be headhunting comedy production staff a few weeks ago, and I think this is just another example of that.

I wouldn't read anything into it. These sorts of auctions have happened for shows that are subsequently cancelled.

Suburgatory seems to have devolved into telling cheesy convoluted sitcom plotlines in the most uninspiring, predictable way possible. As a consequence, this episode was perfectly competent yet utterly boring.

Exactly. I bet they gave her over $1m for a few days work, and the show itself is fairly harmless.

In principle, I actually agree that LMS's chances are overstated and have felt that for a while.
